The main reason I got into coaching was because, while fully struggling and coming through the most challenging and difficult time of my life, I was shown that we really have the potential within us to actually fall upward if we truly believe in ourselves.
Throughout the 35 years of providing award-winning mentorship guidance to thousands of people, I’ve still faced some very challenging times of doubt where it felt like I was at the end of my rope.
There was one particular time a few years ago when I hit a rock-solid wall of overwhelm and anxiety during a major shift in life stages. Among many other things, I was feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands. Relief seemed to be possible through a new very well-paying and influential leadership position. It was receiving a rejection letter from that interview that was the proverbial straw that sent me into a spiral of deep depression and debilitating anxiety attacks that manifested in both mental and physical ways.
In time, after trying to pull myself out of it many times but still struggling, I hired a coach that changed my outlook on things. She guided me toward a deeper understanding of how the problems we face are there to show us some deeper lessons. Through her guidance, I even walked across fire as a means to show myself that I can break through what is holding me down.
Since that powerful time, I’ve come to accept the challenges and really live the journey toward wholeness. Through passing along what was revealed to me and helping guide others to the place of connecting with the world around them, I am greatly rewarded by showing people that they really can fall upward into a better version of themselves.
